Macmillan Cancer Support
OVER a weekend in March 2009, Julia and her sister Gina both competed in the Mac 4x4 UK Challenge with their respective co-drivers.
The Mac 4x4 is a long-distance four-wheel drive navigational endurance event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support (one of the charities close to Bradbury family's heart). Starting in the West Midlands and covering up to 1000 miles in less than three days, Julia and Gina's participation has helped raise awareness of the event and subsequently boost sponsorship opportunities, all of which goes directly to Macmillan Cancer Support. Current estimates are that the apir have raised over £4000.
Julia and co-driver Russ Brown [pictured] took the challenge in a 1995 300Tdi Defender while Gina and her co-driver Pete Restall drove a Isuzu Trooper 3.2 V6 Citation SWB Auto. Both were driving as part of the Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire Land Rover Club's (BHCLRC) teams.
