One of the best presenters on British television, Julia Bradbury manages to be authoritative and warm, funny but not fluffy. Whether it’s wandering fells and craggy horizons on BBC Four / BBC Two’s Wainwright Walks or perched on a desk on BBC One’s Watchdog, Julia is capable and charming. Judging from her guide to Berlin – in Rough Guide to Cities that also covered Rio and Jerusalem – she also knows some right dirty jokes and could probably drink you under the table.

Julia normally presents the massively successful Countryfile on BBC One. However, she and Matt Baker have recently filmed a new special Countryfile programme called Secret Britain which starts at 9.00pm on Sunday 15th August. The pair return to Countryfile in the Autumn.
South Africa Walks – Julia embarks on a truly grand adventure across South Africa. The four part series was aired on BBC Four during April and May this year and took in some amazing sights – rarely seen on camera.

South Africa Walks – along with Julia’s other walking programmes, is now available to buy on DVD – and with a personally signed message from Julia, they make great gifts.
